The critically acclaimed director of Dallas Buyer's Club and Wild is teaming up with Jake Gyllenhaal for his next film, Demolition. Check out the trailer here.
Jean-Marc Vallee helped Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto win Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively two years ago for their work in Dallas Buyer's Club. His follow-up, Wild earned Reese Witherspoon a nomination for Best Actress and Laura Dern a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. His next film is Demolition, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts. Today we got our first glimpse of this new film via the following trailer.
Although the film hasn't yet been screened, critics and fans of Vallee are understandably excited. Vallee seems to bring out the best in his actors, and both Gyllenhaal and Watts have shown some commendable talent in the past. It will be interesting to see if the film will be shown at TIFF 2015 in order to qualify for this year's Oscars. Since the trailer is hitting now and the film is not scheduled to release in theaters until Spring 2016, this may very well be the case. Keep your eyes open for this one, it could definately turn some heads.
